last saturday was a celebration of my Granny's (paternal) birthday. we went to a steakhouse and ate a LOT of food! (:
i myself ate 1 Grilled FIsh, 1 basket of Chicken Wings and Fries, 1 Slice of Mango Cake, 2 cans of C???santhemum Tea and 1 cup of Tea!
its back to the gym for me!

later it was chill-out session with my younger aunts and uncles and my cousins at Coffee Bean. had loads of fun talking about everything under the sun. (:

Marriage boo-hoohs!

i know its very far fetched to think about my marriage ceremony now. but i just realised how expensive it will be to have a wedding in a hotel. considering i have a gazillion relatives spreading from Indonesia, Malaysia and Singapore! and that hasn't include my, dad's, mum's and bro's friends! holy crapper moly!
and there's this 'thing' in the malay community that i hate! the 'ang pao' money they give to the bride's/groom is borderline pathetic. i'm just afraid i can't at least cover 50% of the cost. if not i have to pay $530,000!

and so, i've decided to switch to Livejournal for various reasons:

so i hope the potential/future questions that will be directed to me regarding my switch are answered.

i'm feeling really light and happy for the past few days. and i have my parents to thank for that.

apart from getting me a new wallet which i adore/love/fancy/fond of(well, you get the picture) and a new phone(which i also adore/love/fancy/fond of)!
the talk which i had with them was really enlightening and it made me see my life in a different light. going through failures, disappointments, embarrassment, etc are all part and parcel in life. as long as it doesn't make the world end, i shouldn't stop persevering and overcoming the many adversities that i will face in the future.
yes i know, it all sounds very familiar. but i guess, i've never heard anyone said it with much conviction and passion. the true-life examples that were given by them were really an eye-opener on how WILD my parents were back in the hey-days. and hearing them admiting their past mistakes made me want to change to be a better person. the changes will not be in an instant, its gonna take a lot of hard work, time and personal discipline(which i do not have much of).
i have so MANY flaws that i do not know where to start?

so before you people out there think that i'm such a materialistic spoilt brat (well, they're half correct). fyi: i paid for the phone and half the price of the mp3.
